Proposal for a communication strategy for environmental education in district 149 of Buena Vista, Las Tunas

Abstract

The research is based on the problem of non-compliance with social norms, violations of hygiene and health parameters, as well as other irregularities affecting the environment in the community of district 149 of Reparto Buena Vista in the province of Las Tunas. Therefore, a communicational strategy is proposed to achieve the environmental education of this community. Participant observation and in-depth interview were applied as methods and techniques of the quali-quantitative methodology. As a result, it is expected to improve the quality of life of the residents of this community and the formation of a better collective environmental awareness that contributes to the materialization of institutionalized community policies for the preservation and care of a healthy environment, especially if it is taken into account as one of the fundamental rights endorsed in the current Constitution.
