Neuroeducation, an urgent discipline in the university teaching improvement

Abstract

The study of Neuroeducation has been necessary at the present time, when the educational system of universities is being improved, in correspondence with today's circumstances. This new discipline has led to a different look at the teaching-learning process in higher education. The university degree courses which are studied at the Technical University of Babahoyo include different disciplines that are linked to the teaching of Neuroscience in its curriculum design. Nevertheless, it is necessary to perfect the integration of the contributions of this science with Pedagogy in the current educational practice. On this basis, this work aims to propose improvement courses on Neuroeducation for the professors of the Faculty of Health Sciences at the Technical University of Babahoyo, in order to favor their comprehensive professional training, based on the study of this discipline and its application in the pedagogical practice. For its elaboration, the methods of analysis-synthesis, induction-deduction, historical-logical and modeling were used. It can be extended to the rest of the university degrees at a national and international level, contextualized in the educational reality in which they are developed.
