Margot Machado and the school inspection

Abstract

The present work is part of a historical pedagogic scientific result, where the authors studied Margot Machado Padrón’s life, and inside her educational work, it was studied her work of school inspection. It has as objective: to demonstrate the importance of the school inspection as part of Margot Machado's educational work. It was appealed to theoretical and empiric methods. The investigation verified that she had a revolutionary intense activity and she was occupying important positions in the educational sector, located in the old central province because of her professionalism and experience. It was valued the way she conceived the school inspector's work with the implicit functions that she would carry out. They stand out the control, the evaluation, the professional help and the advice that contributed to a better preparation of the teachers and therefore, to the improvement of the teaching-learning process in the schools primary superiors and in the private schools that she assisted from 1943 until 1958.
