Labor performance of nursing staff at the Alberto Sabogal Hospital. Challenges of social transformation

Abstract

The following article aims to assess the work performance of nursing personnel. On this basis, so much effort is being devoted to raising the quality of care in health services. Hence, it is useful to recognize nursing professional performance as one of the ways to ensure an effective care process. In this regard, it is asserted that for the human being it has always been a concern to appropriate knowledge and improve its environment. To do this, it takes as experience the achievements obtained previously, so the process of performance improvement must be studied as a system and not in isolation.

In this sense, the results of international evaluations in most Latin American countries indicate the need to improve professional performance, orienting to strengthen the training of professionals in order to turn them into true experts in their own professional practice.
