Use of herbicides in controlling weeds. Importance of your knowledge for professional agronomist

Abstract

In agriculture, various means and techniques are used to control pests or weeds. Therefore, it is considered of vital importance the exhaustive knowledge of the different products and their environmental effects, on the part of the agronomist, in order to offer a quality service. These products are called pesticides, which are substances or mixtures of substances aimed at destroying, preventing, repelling or mitigating a pest. Said term can be used to designate compounds such as herbicide, fungicide, insecticide, or some other substances used in the control of pests. The latter affect crops, people and animals, which negatively affects society and food production. In this sense, in this article reference is made to herbicides, their classification, mode of application, as well as the importance of their knowledge for the agronomist.
