Activities from Cuban audiovisuals to educate the value of Patriotism

Abstract

The development of values ​​education is fundamental at all educational levels, and to achieve this, it is necessary to leverage the potential of the teaching and learning process. This research proposed a variety of extracurricular activities that demonstrate how the potential of Cuban audiovisual media and art in general can be used to strengthen values ​​education. The main objective was to design a system of activities based on Cuban audiovisual media to strengthen patriotism among students in the Cultural Heritage Preservation and Management program. Theoretical, empirical, and statistical methods were used in the development of this work. The implementation of the system of activities resulted in students gaining a greater understanding of Cuban audiovisual media and its importance, and values ​​education, with an emphasis on patriotism, was strengthened among students in the Cultural Heritage Preservation and Management program at the University of Camagüey.
