Abstract

The objective of this article is to present an intervention strategy for the prevention and management of cancer, taking into account multidisciplinary and intersectoral participation. Among the theoretical and methodological foundations adopted are the documentary analysis for the bibliographic review of topics related to the national program for the early diagnosis of cervical cancer in Cuba. The strategy was developed based on three stages and an educational program divided into three phases: motivation, development, and evaluation. The main results achieved were changes in unhealthy habits, behaviors, and lifestyles, and an improvement in the quality of life of patients at the Guillermo Tejas Silva Polyclinic during the period 2023-2024. The prevention strategy presented is highly relevant at this time, when the disease affects a large part of the female population both nationally and internationally; therefore, it can be used as a working tool in various contexts.
