The seventh art as a means of communication

Abstract

The evolution of humanity has favored the emergence and improvement of the means of communication, where cinema occupies an important place in the transmission of information. The cinema is not only a means of information, it not only expands the possibilities of the reproduction of the work of art, but it is also a new means of artistic expression. The aim of this article is to characterize the importance of the seventh art as another means of communication. Given the qualitative nature of the research, a critical and historiographic analysis is chosen, reflecting the historical evolution of the communication-art relationship. Research on cinema as a means of communicative expression is important for its recognition as an essential source of communication, capable of recreating realities, transmitting information, ideas, codes and symbols in a different way than traditional media.
