Abstract

This article was carried out at the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources of the Technical University of Cotopaxi, Latacunga, Ecuador, with the objective of determining the productive indicators and the functional relationship between these and different levels of oligosaccharide mannans in the ration for broilers. A total of 400 one-day-old animals with an average weight of 40.43±0.1g were used. The treatments were a control (without enzyme, T0), and three different levels of enzyme 200 (T1), 250 (T2) and 300 g/55 kg balanced (T3), with 10 replicates and 10 animals in each, in a completely randomized design. Weight gain, dry matter intake, feed conversion, cost per kilo of meat and mortality were determined. The functional relationship between enzyme levels and productive indicators was established. The highest weight gain was shown for 200 and 250g of enzyme (T1 and T2) with differences with respect to the rest. The highest intake was the control with 4174.72g. When evaluating feed conversion, the best result was obtained for the treatment of 200 g of enzyme. The cost per kilogram of meat produced decreased in treatments T1 and T2 to 0.87 USD. The functional relationship between the enzyme and the indicators was high, and quadratic and cubic regression equations were fitted between them. The productive indicators of broilers increased with the use of oligosaccharide mannan levels without producing deaths in the animals.
