Bruxism has become a highly prevalent pathology, not only at a national level, but also worldwide, so it has become essential to implement new forms of treatment in order to reduce the symptomatology of patients who suffer from it. An observational, descriptive and prospective longitudinal study was carried out with the objective of determining the effectiveness of physiotherapy as a coadjuvant treatment of bruxism in patients attended in the prosthesis service of the Stomatologic Clinic October 3, in the city of Las Tunas, in the period between October 2019 and June 2021. The study universe was formed by 145 patients treated for bruxism, the sample was constituted by 59 of them, by means of a random sampling. The information was obtained from the data provided by the clinical history and the oral examination. Among the results, female sex, range of 35 to 44 years of age, type of diurnal bruxism and degree of mild severity predominated for both groups. In relation to the most common signs and symptoms, non-functional patterns of occlusal wear and pain in the temporomandibular joint were the most prevalent. The effectiveness of physiotherapy treatment plus occlusal splints was demonstrated, with a highly significant difference.
