Keywords:
globalization, neoliberalism, solidarity, socialism.Abstract
The work refers to a highly topical issue such as globalization and its different alternatives, a phenomenon located at the center of contemporary debates, given the diversity of approaches with which it is presented depending on the class interests and political positions they represent. Among the personalities who have delved into this process is the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, who has presented his theoretical arguments on globalization as an objective, unstoppable process of growing interconnections and interdependence of national economies worldwide. He warns about its influences in all spheres of social life, which has its bases and fundamental pillars in the development achieved in the technique of transportation, communications and automated processing and transmission of information. His assessments on the irrationality of neo-liberal globalization and the imperative need for humanity to become aware that the globalization of solidarity is an important step for its definitive triumph in the future are recognized. Thus, it proposes socialist globalization as the alternative for the survival of the human species. The work is based on analyses and evaluations of speeches made by Fidel, where profound and logical arguments are demonstrated regarding the negative aspects of neoliberal globalization and the validity of socialist globalization, which demonstrates the high political and ethical principles.
