The thought of Karl Marx and José Martí: a parallel in the Cuban social project
Keywords:

The purpose of this paper is to establish a parallel between the thought and action of Karl Marx and José Martí in the Cuban revolutionary process. The scope of the research lies in that it offers in a synthesized way the main points of coincidence between these two figures of universal stature, arising in two very different scenarios in terms of geographical location, level of socioeconomic, political and cultural development, but which are articulated by history, in the constant struggle of the Cuban people in their aspirations to build a just and equitable society as a dialectical reaffirmation of the necessary and the casual. For the development of this research it was necessary to review and study the wide bibliographical work of both thinkers with emphasis on those where they address issues related to the object of study of this work. As a result, we found the articulation of both thoughts regarding the unity of the oppressed to achieve the triumph over the oppressor, the need for a party to orient and guide the masses, and for a press organ to inform and educate them, among other elements, which constitute a guide for the action of the Cuban people, who sail firmly through the turbulent waters of history, where economic development and social justice come together demonstrating that it is man and not capital, the active object and subject of all our demands.
