Abstract

The purpose of this article is to present the results of the therapeutic intervention study carried out in the dental service belonging to the health area of the "Guillermo Tejas Silva" polyclinic in the province of Las Tunas, in the period from March 2018 to February 2019, with the aim of evaluating the effectiveness of the use of Oleozon in pulporadicular treatment (TPR) in patients over 15 years of age. The universe was constituted by the population over 15 years of age, at the time of the study and in need of pulporadicular treatment. The research sample was selected by the simple randomized method and was 44 patients distributed in two groups, one study group that received treatment with Oleozon and one control group that received conventional treatment. The variables age, pulp and periapical disease with pulporadicular treatment, time of evolution and effectiveness of the treatment were recorded. The information was obtained from the oral examination and the Individual Clinical History. The age group of 35-59 years was predominant. As pulp and periapical disease with pulporadicular treatment, necrosis predominated. The satisfactory evolution of the patients treated with Oleozon in a shorter interval of time demonstrated the effectiveness of ozone therapy.
